Freij Entertainment to build highest ferris wheel

Plans to build the world's highest ferris wheel in Dubai have been revealed.

Dubai Freij Entertainment International plans to build a 170 metre observation wheel to provide a bird's-eye view of the Emirate of Dubai, especially the Palm Islands

Group Chief Executive Freij Al Zein also has ambitious plans to build a major indoor theme park in the United Arab Emirates combining shows, rides and a zoo, believing that the UAE is in urgent need of major attractions for European tourists.

Al Zein explained "the UAE market needs very urgently a theme park as a European tourist destination."

However, his plans require necessary government support for land and licensing procedures, he said.

Freij Entertainment International operates Dubai's Global Village amusement attractions as well as 500 rides in 45 countries across Asia, Europe, North America and the Arab world.
