Clublinks gets Deakin University students more active

Having commenced representation of the DeakinACTIVE subbrand of Deakin University on 8th January this year, Clublinks has set about driving key performance objectives through a series of deliberate partnerships.

These links with a newly developed POS system to easily track and communicate with members, a prospecting platform to market to potential members, highly coordinated competitions for social sport, investment of $300,000 worth of modern, technologically advanced equipment and InBody scanners, and virtual on demand  classes to meet the highly variable schedules of students.

These partnerships to improve customer experience are facilitating significant growth with, in just the first months of operation, total membership numbers nearly doubling.

Other achievements have seen the Waurn Ponds fitness centre reach record numbers of membership, a 45% increase on last year’s membership at the Burwood campus, 80 teams registered for student only social sporting competitions and key initiatives involving 15 faculties across the University.

Commenting on this growth, DeakinACTIVE General Manager Tom Zappulla explains “Clublinks has worked closely with Deakin to provide solutions that provide the best opportunities for the Deakin University fitness centres’ facilities and services to reach their various markets.

“This is being achieved by integrating our systems to the variety of services available and the results demonstrate how these are working seamlessly.”
Clublinks shared this success at the 2018 Parks and Leisure Association’s VIC/TAS State Conference on 1st May in Geelong.

Clublinks has over 15 years of experience in managing and consulting to some of Australia’s finest masterplanned golfing developments, public and private golfing facilities, residential estates and leisure centres.
