Clublinks appoints new General Manager to expand sport and recreation expertise

Clublinks Management Pty Ltd has announced the recent appointment of Anthony Edgar as the new General Manager - Operations.

Edgar brings with him a wealth of management experience from within some of Victoria’s most well-known aquatic and recreation facilities, and is a highly respected figure within the industry. He joins Clublinks from his previous role as Regional Development Manager at YMCA Victoria.

Clublinks' Chief Executive Anthony Lawrence, was pleased that such a respected figure within the is joining the team to continue the company’s expansion into the recreation and sport market.

Lawrence explains “we’re thrilled that Anthony is joining us and will be a great asset to our existing team of professionals.”

“This appointment represents an important growth area for Clublinks.

“We believe we have unique strengths and experience to assist local councils and private owners across Australia as they manage their sports and leisure facilities.

“Whilst our heritage has predominantly been in golf, our previous and current clients have included wider sport, leisure and hospitality facilities such as gyms, pools and sports stadiums.

“As such, this is not an entirely new space for us to be operating in."

Edgar will commence his new role with Clublinks in mid January.

Clublinks has over 14 years of experience in managing and consulting to some of Australia’s finest masterplanned golfing developments, public and private golfing facilities, residential estates and leisure centres.

Located at the national headquarters for the PGA of Australia at Sandhurst Club in Melbourne, Clublinks delivers facility and community management services to a number of clients and has experience managing all business aspects, including day to day operations, course maintenance, hospitality, estate maintenance, security, human resources, finance, IT, marketing, sales and membership.

Among its most recent contracts it has taken on the management of both the Moore Park Golf Course and Parklands Sports Centre for the Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust.
