Toptracer virtual reality games launched at Topgolf Gold Coast

Village Roadshow has announced the launch of Toptracer, the number one range technology in golf, at Topgolf Gold Coast.

Giving players real time statistics on their height, carry, curve, apex and ball speed, the Toptracer technology can also bring two new virtual games including Angry Birds and Block Party.

Advising that the introduction of this technology will benefit both serious golfers and those who enjoy visiting the venue with family and friends for a fun outing, Village Roadshow Chief Operating Officer, Bikash Randhawa stated “at Topgolf Gold Coast, we exist to bring joy through more ways to play the game of golf, and the addition of the Toptracer technology is another way we’re delivering on that purpose.

“The Toptracer technology is incredibly sophisticated and allows our guests to have a complete overview of their swing, with their ball being tracked right back to the screen in their bay. Guest can also virtually play five different prestigious golf courses such as Pebble Beach, St Andrews, Spanish Bay, Spyglass Hill and Kiawah Island.

“With the addition of this technology, guests can now also turn their swing into a sling when they launch Angry Birds and virtually smash structures, defeat pigs, and earn as many points and stars as possible.

“As part of the launch of Toptracer, we have also added all new ball dispensers and digital screens to every bay, allowing for a more modern take on the venue’s favourite games.”

The new games include:

Angry Birds
The targets are modelled after the obstacles and characters from the Angry Birds game, adding a new twist to the gameplay.

Players can aim for structures like pigs, blocks, and TNT boxes. Hitting these structures can cause them to collapse and earn the player additional points.

Overall, Topgolf’s Angry Birds game mode is a fun and unique way to experience both golf and the Angry Birds game.

Block Party
Presents a whole outfield where participants can earn points. Anyone can play this game.
