Australian and New Zealand IAKS members speak at industry conferences

Expanding its presence and membership base in Australia and New Zealand, the International Association for Sport and Leisure Facilities (IAKS) has shared that its members were invited to speak as experts at recent state-based aquatic and recreation conferences.

Enhancing IAKS recognition as a trusted source of knowledge and expertise in the industry, IAKS members including David Burns, Dion Gosling, Todd McHardy, Michelle Nolland, RJ Houston and Simon Duck spoke at the Parks and Leisure NSW/ACT conference in Albury on the 16 to 18th May and at the Aquatic and Recreation Institute NSW 2023 conference held in the Blue Mountains on 22nd and 23rd May.

These conferences, known for attracting professionals, thought leaders, and industry pioneers from around the nation, provide an exceptional platform for IAKS ANZ members to share their insights, experiences, and innovative ideas.

With their extensive expertise and profound understanding of the aquatic and leisure industry, [reaffirming our quality IAKS ANZ members contribute to enriching the discourse and shaping the future of the industry.

IAKS members such as the conference speakers and George Devenish and Fiona Morrison are renowned experts in their respective fields within the aquatic, recreation and sport industry, speaking on a variety of topics including sports surfacing, activating communities, new aquatic technologies, latest trend reports and best practice in operational management. 

During their speaking engagements, IAKS ANZ Members covered a range of compelling topics related to aquatic and leisure industry. Their presentations delved into emerging trends, cutting-edge technologies, best practices, and challenges faced by industry professionals. Attendees gained invaluable knowledge, practical strategies, and fresh perspectives from these highly esteemed speakers.

These speakers have accumulated years of experience, demonstrated remarkable achievements, and have been instrumental in driving innovation and excellence. Their contributions have not only advanced the industry but have also positively impacted countless individuals and communities.

IAKS ANZ’s next event will be held at the 2023 National Sports & Physical Activity Convention from 25th to 28th July, 2023 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
