Aquatic facility manager’s networking breakfast to be staged at the Fitness Show
The Australian Leisure Facilities Association (ALFA) and the NSW-based Aquatic & Recreation Institute (ARI) have joined to host a special networking event at the upcoming Fitness Show in Sydney.
The networking breakfast will be addressed by Dr Jeff Walkley, Belgravia Leisure’s National Disability & Diversity Manager and AUSTSWIM Chief Executive Jennifer Schembri-Portelli.
Being held on the morning of Friday 28th April 2017 (the first day of the Fitness Show) at the new International Convention Centre, Sydney, the event enables aquatic, community and recreation facility managers from across Australia to get together, network and share experiences, while discussing and finding solutions to current industry issues.
The theme for this year’s event is ‘Managing Change in the Aquatic & Recreation Industry’, with the two speakers exploring the challenges facing community aquatic and recreation facilities and will examine how facilities will need to adapt to ensure they continue to provide outstanding aquatic and recreation experiences.
The event will also see the sharing of the latest, up and coming industry trends and innovations and what community leisure facilities need to be doing in order to stay ahead of the competition.
Speakers/topics:
Dr Jeff Walkley - National Disability & Diversity Manager, Belgravia Leisure: Grasping the future: connecting with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Jennifer Schembri-Portelli (JSP) - AUSTSWIM Chief Executive: An Aquatic Career Pathway
With the Fitness Show offering not just a wide range of fitness products and programs but also a large number of exhibits relevant to the aquatic and recreation sector, the networking breakfast, now in its sixth successive year, aims to encourage show attendance by aquatic and recreation professionals.
