Yarra Leisure secures new AUSactive Triple Accreditation
Service excellence and a commitment to consistently delivering exceptional programs has once again paid off for Yarra Leisure, with facilities in Richmond, Collingwood and Fitzroy successfully completing their third AUSactive Business Accreditation Audit.
Yarra Leisure was one of the early adopters of the AUSactive Business Accreditation program, undertaking their first audit back in 2019, and they are now proud to be the first group of facilities in Australia to complete three accreditation audits - a major milestone that cements their status as leaders in the health and fitness industry.
AUSactive’s Business Accreditation is a formal recognition process in which a business meets rigorous, predefined quality standards, assessed by an independent accreditation body.
Advising that the third AUSactive Accreditation is a testament to the organisation’s long-term commitment to excellence and continuous improvement, Yarra City Council Manager Recreation and Leisure Services, Sarah Harrington stated "completing our third accreditation audit demonstrates Yarra Leisure’s deep commitment to delivering high-quality services and facilities that are safe, inclusive, and tailored to our diverse and vibrant community.
“This accreditation, alongside our Life Saving Victoria Platinum Pools accreditation, ensures the community can have absolute confidence in the standards we uphold across all Yarra Leisure services - whether it’s our gyms, swimming pools or golf courses.”
Emphasising that maintaining accreditation plays a key role in fostering a culture of reflection and continuous improvement, Harrington noted "continual improvement is embedded in everything we do. This achievement helps us build on our strong foundations to deliver fun, accessible, safe, and affordable health, wellbeing and leisure opportunities - particularly for people experiencing disadvantage, people with disability, older people, and people from culturally diverse backgrounds.”
Congratulating Yarra Leisure on the achievement, describing it as an outstanding example of leadership and innovation in the industry,
AUSactive Chief Executive, Barrie Elvish stated “Yarra Leisure continues to set the benchmark for excellence in our sector.
“To be the first organisation to complete three AUSactive Business Accreditation audits is a truly commendable achievement, and we are proud to see such dedication to quality, safety, and service.
“Our Business Accreditation program represents our commitment to raising standards across the sector, and Yarra Leisure is leading the way.”
This significant milestone highlights Yarra Leisure’s enduring dedication to the community and reinforces its role as a trailblazer in delivering quality health and wellbeing services in Australia.
