AUSactive welcomes Ekaterina Osipova as new Board Director
AUSactive has appointed Ekaterina (Katya) Osipova to its Board of Directors, following the retirement of long-serving Board Member and former Chair, Jayne Blake.
Osipova brings over 30 years of experience in professional services, having held senior leadership roles, including as a former Big 4 Partner, across Australia and internationally.
A highly regarded business leader and governance professional, she has advised a wide range of listed and private organisations on audit, financial reporting, and corporate governance.
Currently serving as Treasurer and Board Member of Activate Perth, a not-for-profit organisation focused on revitalising urban spaces and fostering vibrant communities, Osipova is deeply committed to supporting purpose-led organisations.
She is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a member of Chartered Accountants ANZ, and actively mentors emerging leaders in the sector.
Osipova’s appointment follows the conclusion of Jayne Blake’s term as Board Director and Chair, which ended on 4th July 2025.
Blake served AUSactive through a period of significant transformation, including the rebranding of the organisation and during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Chair of AUSactive Emmett Williams welcomed Osipova’s appointment and paid tribute to Blake for her seven years with AUSactive.
Williams shared “Katya is a fantastic addition to the AUSactive Board. Her extensive governance experience, financial acumen, and passion for sustainable, purpose-driven business practices will be invaluable as we continue to grow and advocate for the health and wellbeing of all Australians.
“I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Jayne Blake, who not only managed the CEO seat during a transition but was Chair during both the critical rebranding and the turbulent days of COVID-19. Jayne has provided much needed independent perspective to our industry Board and been a terrific mentor to new directors over her time.
“Jayne's professionalism, governance capability, and broad experience were exactly what our peak body needed at that time, positioning us for greater impact at a national level, and we will forever be grateful to her.”
AUSactive Chief Executive Barrie Elvish has also welcomed Osipova to the Board and paid tribute to Blake’s leadership noting “as we navigate an exciting period of growth and innovation, Katya’s appointment strengthens our ability to deliver on our long-term vision.
“I would also like to acknowledge Jayne’s leadership – guided by a clear vision and unwavering commitment to our mission, we have seen a significant period of growth and transformation for AUSactive over the last seven years.
“Jayne’s strategic insight, collaborative approach, and passion for the industry have left a lasting mark, positioning AUSactive for continued success.”
