VenuesWest invites charitable organisations to join its Community Partner Program
VenuesWest is now calling for Expressions of Interest from Western Australian charitable organisations to join its successful Community Partner Program in the upcoming financial year 2019/20.
Established three years ago, the VenuesWest Community Partners Program provides an opportunity for a small and specific group of charity organisations to gain from tailored opportunities and benefits.
Since its creation, the Program has grown rapidly and helped hundreds of deserving families, volunteers and members to gain access to sporting and entertainment experiences that may not otherwise have been possible.
In 2017/18, VenuesWest delivered more than $80,000 in benefits, including tickets to its Community Partners, who also gained a number of other benefits including providing free venue space to host a number of internal staff development days and stakeholder engagement events allowing the charities to deliver on their strategic objectives.
VenuesWest Chief Executive David Etherton sees that it has been privilege to have partnered with eight charitable organisations since the program began, who share similar values as VenuesWest by giving back to our local community.
Etherton advises “giving back to the community is very important to our organisation and goes hand in hand with our core business of delivering exceptional customer experiences and making every effort to use our resources efficiently.
“Since the Program’s inception, we are proud to have partnered with Manna Inc, Make a Wish Foundation, WA Disabled Sports Association, Superfins, Mentally Healthy, Autism WA, Starlight and St Vincent De Paul.”
Appreciating the number of opportunities and benefits the Program has provided, Mentally Healthy WA Campaign Manager, Amberlee Nicholas advises “joining the VenuesWest Community Partner Program has been an amazing opportunity. Partnering with an organisation that aligns to our values and shares our vision for a mentally healthy WA has provided us with an invaluable opportunity to provide incredible experiences to Western Australians from all walks of life, many who would otherwise not have had the opportunity.”
Starlight Children's Foundation’s State Partnerships Manager, Valerie Deal also expressed gratitude in joining the program, adding “from sporting events, and the ever popular Wiggles, to any number of international entertainers, sincere thanks to VenuesWest for the incredible Community Partner support since July 2017.
“The moments of positive distraction for our families when they need it the most, and being able to give back to volunteers who selflessly share their time supporting our organisation's efforts, are the reason these opportunities are so special.”
The success of VenuesWest’s commercial activities enables reinvestment back into the venues for the benefit of elite athletes and the community.
