Graham Goerke named new Chair at VenuesWest
The Western Australian Government has named long-serving board member Graham Goerke as VenuesWest's new Chairperson.
Western Austraian Sport and Recreation Minister Mick Murray that Goerke would replace outgoing Chair Richard Muirhead, whom he thanked for his dedication and commitment to the organisation.
Minister Murray also announced that Paralympian and Order of Australia Medal recipient Priya Cooper would be joining the VenuesWest board.

Comments on the appointments, Minister Murray advised “Graham (Goerke) has given excellent service to the organisation as a board member and is well placed to lead VenuesWest into its next chapter (while Priya Cooper) will be a terrific asset for VenuesWest.”
Acknowledging Muirhead’s contributions to VenuesWest, Minister Murray added “not only did Richard achieve high-level success in helping to commission and appoint an operator to Optus Stadium, he provided a dedicated presence in all areas of VenuesWest operations - from the grassroots to the elite."
The pair will take on their new roles as of 1st July.
