Tourism WA names Anneke Brown as new Managing Director
Experienced hotelier and tourism leader Anneke Brown has been appointed the new Managing Director of Tourism WA.
Brown led the opening team of the COMO The Treasury and has board experience with both Tourism WA and the Rottnest Island Authority.
Brown (pictured) is also the Chair of WA's Women in Tourism and Hospitality association and a former Tourism WA Board Commissioner.
Welcoming Brown’s appointment, Tourism Council WA Chief Executive, Evan Hall stated “I look forward to working with Anneke to grow visitation and continue working together to develop the tourism industry.
“Tourism Council WA will work closely with the new managing director to recover WA’s international and interstate visitors and grow the more than 110,000 jobs created by the tourism industry in 2023.
“We thank Stephanie Underwood for her work as acting Managing Director.”
Underwood, who has been in the temporary role since May will return to her role of Executive Director Strategy and Engagement in December.
