Kate Holsgrove appointed as new Chair for Tourism Council WA
Tourism Council WA has appointed Kate Holsgrove as their new Chair following the retirement of long-standing Chair and Director Andrew Hill.
The Board thanked Hill and recognised his major contribution to the tourism industry and Tourism Council WA at the Annual General Meeting earlier this week. Under Hill’s leadership, Tourism Council WA continued its strong advocacy agenda on both a Federal and State level, including assisting WA tourism businesses throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hill was awarded life membership to Tourism Council WA, in recognition of his service to the Board for the past 17 years. Hill was the former Crown Perth Chief Operating Officer – Food, Beverage and Entertainment, and has now taken on the role of Executive Director - West for Sirrom Corporation.
New Chair Kate Holsgrove is Perth Airport’s Chief Commercial and Aviation Officer and is an experienced retail and property professional with more than 15 years’ experience in senior leadership and multi-site roles. Holsgrove was previously Regional Manager WA for Scentre Group, owner & manager of Westfield shopping centres.
Nathan Frost has been re-elected as Deputy Chair. Frost is the Vice President Operations – WA & Tasmania for Accor.
