Supreme Heating and DualSun launch 'zero energy pool' hybrid solar panel

Australian owned pool heating specialist, Supreme Heating have announced unprecedented interest in new two-in-one solar solution, the Heatseeker DualSun hybrid solar panel which the company launched at February's 2018 SPASA Pool and Spa Expo in Melbourne.

Peter Alderton, Supreme Heating’s Business Development Manager, explains “any surplus electricity can be self-consumed in the home or commercial swimming pool facility, or returned into the grid for a feed-in tariff or a net-metering program.

“The electricity generated by the high efficiency photovoltaic (PV) cells can cover all the electricity needs of your swimming pool, in particular, the pool equipment and in some cases, the heat pump.

“Any surplus electricity can be self-consumed in the home or commercial swimming pool facility, or returned into the grid for a feed-in tariff or a net-metering program.

“The internal heat exchanger allows direct connection to your pools water circuit. As the pool water flows through the heat exchanger, the water is heated whilst simultaneously cooling the panel, increasing the efficiency of the PV electrical generation.”

The SPASA launch saw DualSun’s Product Manager from France, Nordine Belaissaoui join the Supreme Heating team on their stand.

With Supreme Heating is now launching Heatseeker DualSun across Australia, Belaissaoui expressed his delight at the overwhelming interest in Heatseeker DualSun.

Established in 1990, Supreme Heating has long been recognised as one of Australia’s leading specialists in the design and installation of innovative, energy efficient pool heating solutions Australia-wide, and more recently throughout Asia and New Zealand.

Supreme Heating had met DualSun representatives at the Piscine Global Expo in Europe in November 2016, where they instantly saw the potential for the hybrid solar panel in Australia.

One of the key determining factors was the innovative way the product simultaneously generates electricity and heated water which allows the ongoing energy consumption of a pool to be neutralised, and avoid any government legislation that could negatively impact the industry. Supreme saw this as a powerful solution not only for residential swimming pools and spas but the commercial swimming pool sector.

The launch of the Heatseeker DualSun hybrid solar panel at SPASA followed 18 months of collaboration and development between Supreme Heating and DualSun to develop a robust and customised pool heating solution for the Australian market.
