SPLASH! Expo to present week of education and training opportunities

For the first time ever, a range of peak industry bodies has come together to provide a full week of aquatic industry training options at the upcoming SPLASH! Expo.

Being held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) from 30th July to 4th August, the sessions will cover areas from contract law for pool builders and managers through to swim teaching tips for swim schools delivered by expert speakers from all over the world.

The sessions will see the Swimming Pool and Spa Association conduct continuing professional development (CPD) sessions for pool builders; SPLASH! workshops on ways to improve your business; The Australian Swim Schools Association (ASSA) and International Swim Schools Association (ISSA) holding a range of presentations by presenters from across the globe, as well as a number of networking events all in one great week for all swim school staff.

The Australian Leisure Facilities Association Queensland will also be running session targeting commercial pool operators.

Key areas being covered are:

• Legal - contracts and compliance including best practice and pool barriers
• Human resources - hiring, retaining and training staff including managing people
• Sales and Marketing - get hot tips on how to approach the market to get in front and stay ahead. Do fewer quotes and get higher conversions with your sales.
• Social Media - Facebook strategies for engagement, emails and ads to generate more sales.
• Current National and International trends within the industry - including disinfection, sustainability, technology and drowning prevention
• Operations and Site visit to the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre - learn about the $42 million renovation of the Commonwealth Games Pools 2018
• Women in leadership seminar learn from the best female leaders within the industry.
• World Wide Swim School Teaching tips and program ideas
