Reunited SPASA Australia launches industry expo and awards

The reunited Swimming Pool & Spa Association of Australia Ltd (SPASA Australia) has announced plans for its inaugural National Convention and Supplier Expo to be held at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park on 24th and 25th August.

Reflecting the coming together of previously diverse aquatic organisations within SPASA Australia, the theme of the event is ‘Great Teams Grow Together’.

Introducing the convention and expo, SPASA Australia Chief Executive Gary Nye explained “this event will provide our members with an education and information focus and an opportunity to meet with suppliers and see their products and services.”

The event will also include 2015 SPASA Australia Awards of Excellence, with Nye adding “last year our Awards of Excellence were held at the SPLASH conference and they were a resounding success. 

“This year we have decided to combine those awards with our first Convention and Supplier Expo.”

The Convention program is currently being finalised and it is expected to be released before Easter. 

Nye added “even at this early stage there is considerable interest from Suppliers to participate in this inaugural event and their involvement will in turn add to the drawing power of the event from all sectors of our industry.”

A range of sponsorship and exhibition packages is available for the Convention, Expo and Awards of Excellence, and special accommodation rates have been negotiated for interstate visitors.

SPASA Australia is Australia’s peak swimming pool and spa industry body. It is committed to advancing the health, integrity and sustainability of our industry at a national level, by promoting safety, professionalism and integrity of the industry to key national stakeholders.
