Shaun Krenz to drive new business-to-business event for Australasian fitness
Leading exhibition and events company National Media has announced the launch of Business of Fitness, a new business-to-business event for the exercise and wellness industries in Australia and New Zealand.
Working with former Fitness Show Event Director, Shaun Krenz, to create the event, Business of Fitness marks National Media’s entry into the Asia-Pacific fitness market where it will look to build on its current trade show portfolio of business events in sectors including the hospitality, healthcare, natural foods and e-commerce sectors.
With National Media have grown its business events since 1993 and Krenz having overseen exhibitions that are specific to the fitness industry since 2009, National Media Managing Director, Mark Harvey stated "I am super excited to announce the launch of Business of Fitness, a much-needed platform and catalyst - in the form of an independent, stand-alone B2B trade show and convention for the fitness and wellness industry.
“It will be an entirely new standard for events in the fitness industry with a focus on bringing together a curated audience of decision-makers from every type of fitness facility across all verticals. I'm greatly impressed with Shaun's work and now look forward to working with him to accelerate the growth of this event."
Business of Fitness co-founder and Event Director, Shaun Krenz (pictured below centre) added "I am very proud to be joining forces with Mark and the team at National Media.
“For many years now, I've looked from afar with admiration for this business and their ability to develop industry-defining events within the markets they serve. They've consistently demonstrated success across so many different shows by challenging the status quo and redefining the trade show experience.”
Harvey went on to advise “in the coming weeks, we will reach out directly to the community to learn even more about the common goal of growth, the latest trends, best practices and strategies, new business models and game-changing innovations that are redefining the business and future of fitness and wellness.
"We will continue to use insights from our other networks and the expert knowledge of Shaun, along with the formation of an executive advisory board to help shape the event offering. Nobody understands the industry more than the industry themselves so working together towards a shared vision creates the best chance of success.”
While the date and location for Business of Fitness has yet to be advised, the event will span three days is planned to feature presentations, exhibits, curated one-to-one meetings and networking opportunities in a format designed to be conducive for doing business.
The exhibit hall will bring together suppliers of commercial equipment, technology, products and services needed to succeed in the business of fitness. The convention program will deliver international keynotes and a groundbreaking line-up of business sessions across a variety of tracks, deep-dive workshops and roundtables discussions.
