Reed Exhibitions considers FIBO branding for Australia's Fitness Shows
Global events organiser Reed Exhibitions is considering introducing its FIBO branding for its Fitness Shows in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne in 2020.
Reed, which purchased the Fitness Show - formerly known as the Fitness and Health Expo - in 2017, owns what it calls the "world’s largest interactive showcases of fitness, health and wellness innovation" with FIBO Global events currently run in Germany, China, South Africa and, since 2018, the USA.
Launching FIBO USA last year, the expansion was seen as part of a strategy by Reed to expand FIBO’s global activities and establish a direct presence in the world’s leading fitness markets.
Its consideration of introducing the FIBO brand to Australia is currently seeing Micromex Research surveying industry attitudes to the potential new branding.
Australia's major fitness industry event, the Fitness Show at Sydney's Darling Harbour is run in conjunction with the Fitness Australia and industry owned FILEX Convention.
Globally, Reed Exhibitions runs more than 500 events across 43 industry sectors attracting more than seven million visitors each year.
2019 Melbourne Fitness Show
Running on 26th and 27th October, the 2019 Melbourne Fitness Show will sees representatives from over 20 countries compete to become World Champion in their divisions at the ICN WORLD Amateur Championships.
The ICN World Championships showcases over 500 competitors from over 20 different countries, including USA, Czech Republic, Sri Lanka, Australia and Brazil.
ICN World Chairman Wayne McDonald, Australian President Tony Lanciano and Fitness Show Events Director Shaun Krenz have renewed their association to host the ICN WORLD Amateur Championships and WORLD PRO Night of Champions Show, drawing the biggest spectator numbers.
The success of the earlier Fitness Shows in Sydney and Brisbane earlier this year have paved the way for the Melbourne event.
