Queensland executives recognised as top industry media relations professionals
Two Queensland media relations experts were recognised as industry leaders at last week’s Australasian Leisure Management Communication and Marketing Awards.
Trena-Louise Lyons, principal of Noosa-based Newsroom PR, was named the Australian and New Zealand leisure industry’s top Communications Executive (Agency) while Greg Adermann, Group Communications Manager for Brisbane-based AEG Ogden and Director of Communications and Marketing for Suncorp Stadium, received the program’s Communications Executive Award (Industry).
The pair were recognised as the top performing communications and marketing experts from across Australia and New Zealand.
Greg Adermann was recognised for his work with AEG Ogden and Suncorp Stadium, where, over the past 15 years he has been a ‘one person department’ responsible for managing the company’s media and communications strategy; providing market intelligence and strategic advice on media and issues management to Chairman Harvey Lister and Chief Executive Rod Pilbeam; and providing media and issue management services as required to all venues the company manages in the Asia Pacific region.
Trena-Louise Lyons heads Newsroom PR, a boutique public relations and communications consultancy that deals with clients across a range of industries.
Her award, explains Australasian Leisure Management Publisher Nigel Benton recognises “the exceptional work she has undertaken with a range of clients in aquatics, recreation and tourism.”
The Awards, which recognise excellence in communication and marketing in the leisure industry in Australia and New Zealand, were presented at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium on the evening of Thursday 24th August.
