Australian Fitness Show creator Shaun Krenz departs Reed Exhibitions

Shaun Krenz, Reed Exhibitions’ well-known Director of the Australian Fitness Show, has announced that his “time at the helm of the Fitness Show portfolio of events has come to an end”.

In an announcement on LinkedIn, Krenz advised “those close to me will know that I always planned to exit this position on a ‘grand finale’ event, of course the COVID pandemic has taken away that ability but the time is right to take on other challenges.”

A qualified personal trainer, Krenz joined former Australian Fitness Show owner Diversified Communications in 2009 and led its expansion from a one-off annual event to a four event per year portfolio, with annual events established in Sydney, Melbourne (launched 2014), Perth (launched 2013) and Brisbane (acquired in 2015).

Aquired by Talk 2 Media & Events in 2016 and Reed Exhibitions in 2017, Krenz was responsible for the creation, implementation and achievement of the portfolio's long term vision, objectives and strategies, leading a team delivering events that exceeded profit targets and customer expectations while increasing each brands value and positioning the portfolio for future growth.
