Reed Exhibitions announce postponement of 2020 Fitness Show Sydney

The organisers of The Fitness Show have announced that, “following public health advice, we have made the difficult but appropriate decision to postpone The Fitness Show”, which was planned to be held at the ICC Sydney from 1st to 3rd May, until the second half of 2020.

In addition, Fitness Australia has advised that the postponement applies to its FILEX convention

The Reed Exhibitions statement cites the Coronavirus as the reason for the postponement, advising “in the context of the current situation, and following public health advice, we have made the difficult but appropriate decision to postpone The Fitness Show.”

It adds “Reed Exhibitions will work closely with our customers to find the most suitable alternative dates for the event.

“Our top priority is to ensure a safe environment for everyone involved.  We fully understand and appreciate the level of planning that is required to participate in an event like ours and we will do our utmost to help all our customers, partners and attendees to prepare for the new dates.

“We would like to thank everyone for the encouragement and support received during this challenging time.

“We ask for your patience during this time, but rest assured we will be in touch very soon with further details.”

The postponement also applies to The Fitness Show B2B event.

Fitness Australia yesterday advised that its Fitness Australia Awards Gala Dinner will "likely to be now held in late September/early October 2020, in line with Filex and The Fitness Show".
