Roger Field exits role as President of Live Nation Asia Pacific
Roger Field, President of Live Nation’s Asia Pacific operations, has resigned.
One of the region’s most influential concert promoters, Field’s resignation was communicated to staff at the close of business today (24th October).
The resignation of the Zimbabwe-born, Melbourne-based promoter comes at a busy time for Live Nation, which is staging stadium shows by Twice, Motley Crue and Def Leppard in the coming weeks, Post Malone at Flemington Racecourse, four record-breaking shows by The Weeknd, at Marvel Stadium in December, and Pink in February.
Live Nation is also the promoter for world tours by Madonna and Beyonce.
Reports indicated that said Field has left the live entertainment giant “in good spirits” and “on good terms”.
Field (pictured) joined Live Nation in 2010 after working at Michael Coppel Presents. He became Chief Executive of Live Nation Australia in 2017, then President of the APAC region in 2020.
He played a key role in venue acquisitions including the Palais Theatre in St Kilda and the rebirth of Melbourne’s Festival Hall among a portfolio of managed venues including the Palais Theatre in Melbourne, Hindley Street Music Hall in Adelaide, Anita’s Theatre in Thirroul, and the Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane.
As a result of Field’s exit, Alex Klos will taking over as Live Nation’s full-time Chief Operating for Australia and New Zealand, in addition to his role as Chief Financial Officer for the APAC region.
