Live Nation Australia partners with children's cancer charity to raise much-needed funds
Leading live entertainment company, Live Nation, has today announced it will continue to support My Room Children’s Cancer Charity, a volunteer-led organisation that raises funds to support families, medical equipment, clinical care, research, and trials.
Live Nation will offer dedicated support through its catalogue of assets, leveraged by the company’s global network and resources, to back all My Room’s events and key programs. Live Nation will assist My Room in sourcing and securing live entertainment for their events while also employing several always-on fundraising initiatives, with proceeds going towards the My Room charity.
Commenting on the partnership, Roger Field, President of Live Nation Asia Pacific noted “Live Nation is inspired by the incredible fundraising efforts of the My Room Children’s Cancer Charity and the change they have brought countless children and their families affected by this devastating disease. Our team is proud to partner with My Room to amplify their efforts nationally to make an even greater contribution to the fight against cancer.”
The partnership officially kicks off to be timed with the My Room Annual Charity Ball on Saturday 26th August 2023 and its annual telethon (date TBC). Live Nation has worked with My Room to secure Australian pop superstar Ricki-Lee to perform an exhilarating night of non-stop hits at the gala ball, like Can’t Touch It, Do It Like That and On My Own.
Ricki-Lee shared “Alongside Live Nation and My Room Children's Charity, I am proud to join the fight for this very important cause by raising much-needed funds for every child threatened by cancer and can't wait to perform at the My Room Charity Gala on 26th August."
Live Nation will donate a once-in-a-lifetime live music experience valued at $15,000 as part of the ball’s annual charity auction, and for the month of September Live Nation enable a donation upsell across all its events, allowing fans to donate while purchasing tickets to their favourite events.
My Room Children’s Cancer Charity is a small, volunteer-led charity that understands the devastating impact of cancer on families. My Room’s mission to fight childhood cancer with the goal to bring hope and respite to Australian families affected by this terrible disease.
