QPEC appointed Power Plate distributor in Australia as global ownership changes
Brisbane-based QPEC (Quality Products, Education and Conditioning) has been named as the exclusive Australian agent for Power Plate vibration/acceleration training products.
Explaining the new distributorship, Power Plate International Regional Manager, Asia Pacific Erica Minter stated "I am excited about the Power Plate: QPEC partnership which I believe holds great promise - their commitment to quality, service, and great education are a strong foundation for us to continue to build the brand in Australia."
Power Plate machines use the principles of Acceleration Training to stimulate the body's natural response to vibration. These vibrations transmit waves of energy throughout the body, activating muscle contractions between 25 and 50 times per second, enhancing overall performance in sessions as short as 15 minutes a day, three times a week.
While Power Plate technology and products have been highly successful in Australasian and Asian markets, the global business has recently been bought out of administration by US-based PPI Acquisitions.
PPI Acquisitions and the joint administrators of Power Plate International Ltd announced at the beginning of November that they had agreed to terms for the sale and purchase of Power Plate International's business and assets.
Additionally, PPI Acquisitions has entered into an exclusive manufacturing agreement with the manufacturer of Power Plate products. With this agreement in place, PPI Acquisitions will be the sole source for the complete line of Power Plate branded products world-wide.
The sale process has entered into an exclusivity period while the contractual terms are completed and during which time PPI Acquisitions will be operating the Power Plate business under license from the administrators.
