Precor celebrates first anniversary at Australian Fitness & Health Expo
The recent Australian Fitness & Health Expo saw leading fitness equipment manufacturer and supplier Precor celebrates its first anniversary of the commencement of its direct operations in Australia.
With three stands at the Expo showcasing its innovative, award winning, premium equipment, Precor invited attendees to enter a competition to 'climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge' in the quickest time, in a simulated exercise on its unique Adaptive Motion Trainer® with Open Stride.
In addition, Precor launched three new features to Preva, the industry's first open platform networked fitness solution, with more than 25 million workouts logged worldwide since its launch in 2010.
The new additions to Preva reinforce Precor's position as the market leading networked fitness product.
Preva Mobile, Preva Token and Workout Messages have been designed to help operators drive engagement and participation in their fitness offering, while strengthening communication with members and increasing retention.
Preva Mobile - an iPhone application developed to extend the facility's value and deepen customer relationships by giving members a way to log and track all fitness activities, even when they are away from their club.
Preva Token - RFID enabled key fobs that allow exercisers to simply swipe or tap the equipment to automatically sign in to their Preva Account on any networked P80 console, giving access to their favourite workouts, fitness goals, progress milestones and rewards before they've had time to set down their water bottle.
Workout Messages - expands operators' options for communicating with members by enabling them to build short messages, schedule them to appear at specific times and drive response by directing exercisers to a web page.
Precor Australia Business Director, Andy Pickett explained "at Precor, we view technology through the lens of what it can do to help our customers and their exercisers achieve their goals. Preva's latest launches make it even easier for exercisers to track their fitness goals, whilst the new Workout Message service enables operators to create a more personal, targeted and interactive relationship with their members.
"These enhancements are ideal extensions to what's already become the standard by which other networked fitness technologies are measured. We continue to develop and refine these business-building capabilities for our customers as well as the interactive experiences for their members."
Pickett was delighted to celebrate the anniversary with customers and fellow suppliers at the Expo, adding "since we commenced selling direct to the industry in April 2012 we have exceeded all expectations - not just in terms of our own targets, but with what we have been able to help our customers achieve with their businesses.
"Our focus has been and continues to be on delivering quality, innovative fitness products that help operators grow their businesses and deliver a great exercise experience to their members.
"We look forward to meeting operators from around Australia at the Expo and showing them how we can work with them to get the best from their facilities."
