New Milon Health Club opens on the Gold Coast
A new gym offering some of the most technologically advanced electronic fitness training equipment in the world has opened at Palm Lake Resort on the Gold Coast.
A centrepiece of an over-50s resort complex, the fully equipped gym quality features German-engineered and designed Milon fitness equipment.
The 12 separate electronic strength and cardio machines used Milon’s personalised smart card technology that automatically adjusts the equipment to each user's individual anatomy and training program requirements.
Palm Lake Resort Sales General Manager Sue Baldwin explains "Palm Lake Resort has installed Milon gyms in some of our other resorts already and residents have experienced amazing benefits from it.
"They all agree that it is the simplicity of the system that makes them keep exercising, with a circuit taking only 17 and a half minutes for a very focused fitness result.”
The Palm Lake Resort club is Australia’s fourth fully equipped Milon facility.
In addition to Palm Lake Resort and Milon-equipped Palm Lake Resort facilities at Toowoomba and Cooroy-Noosa, Australia’s flagship club for Milon equipment is the Milon Premium Health Club at the Marina Mirage Shopping precinct, a short distance from Surfers Paradise, Southport and Main Beach.
Opened in late 2015, the fully equipped gym is the first fitness centre of its kind in the southern hemisphere, with an extensive range Milon branded equipment manufactured in Germany by milon Industries GmbH.
The gym also offers a range of group fitness classes including stretch, TRX and yoga. Personal trainers are available to help guests reach their workout goals.
In addition to equipping these facilities, milon Australia are the exclusive importers and distributors of the equipment in Australia and New Zealand.
As Marcin Lazinski, Managing Director of milon Australia explains “our primary role is that of an equipment supplier to the market and we do not limit how the equipment is sold.
“We will sell to all interested parties including gyms, hospitals, corporate clients, medical facilities and senior residential resorts.”
With a history dating back the 1960s, and having invented of the first ever automatic tennis ball serving machine, milon Industries GmbH has gone on to become the world leader in smart card controlled electronically generated resistance equipment.
Lazinski adds “our Miltronic devices are certified under the German Medical Product Act (MPG) and so comply with one of the highest medical standards worldwide (while) our equipment is designed by Porsche Design Studios.
“Our products are found in almost 30 countries in some 3,000 fitness centres. There are over 200 physiotherapy clinics and some 100 hospitals/medical facilities in Germany alone that use our products.
“Further, it is used by companies such as Siemens, Bosch and BASF in the area of corporate health.”
