Movie World launches Fright Night events
Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast has launched a series of Fright Night events.
From Saturday 1st October for seven event filled nights, the Gold Coast theme park will be transformed into a playground of nightmarish events.
The East Inferno Dancers from the Meriton Gold Coast Blaze were the first visitors to join in the event, testing Movie World's Zombie Apocalypse maze.
Fright Nights (previously Halloween Family Fun Nights and Halloween Fright Nights) at Warner Bros. Movie World represent part of a growing trend among Australian and Asian attractions for Halloween themed events.
Fellow Gold Coast theme park, Dreamworld was the first to hold a Halloween themed night event back in 2004, while Warner Bros. Movie World introduced its events as of 2006.
Expanding from a single night, the events has now expanded to a seven night program.
In 2010, Warner Bros. Movie World began working with the Sudden Impact Entertainment and Lynton V. Harris, with Harris designing a series of themed mazes.
The 2011 Fright Night experience has also been designed by Harris/the Sudden Impact Entertainment Company.
