Lynton V Harris Receives 2010 Brand Personality Award

Lynton V Harris, Chairman and Chief Executive of The Sudden Impact! Entertainment Company has today been presented with the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation (APBF) Brand Laureate Brand Personality Award for 2010.

The APBF Brand Personality Award is given to outstanding individuals or teams who have contributed significantly to the lives of the people around the world and the industries that they specialise in. Previous recipients of the award include Professor Robert Fry Engle, the nobel laureate for economics; Professor Edward de Bono, the creator of lateral thinking; singer Sir Cliff Richard and former Manchester United Captain and England player, Bryan Robson.

Presenting the Award, Brand Laureate Chief Executive, Chew Bee Peng explained “this award is a testimony to Lynton V Harris’s success and an acknowledgement of The Sudden Impact! Entertainment Company’s brand’s value, strength and character.”

Harris, who received his award in Kuala Lumpur on the same day that he is delivering a keynote address at the IAAPA Asian Attractions Expo, explained “this is a fantastic honour for me personally. I love Asia, and as a Company, we have toured and worked throughout the Asia-Pacific region in mainland China, Australia, Hong Kong, Thailand and of course in Malaysia.

“We have been directly responsible for creating jobs for young locals through our attractions, and we are thrilled to be most prolific creator of live interactive Hollywood branded attractions in the World.”

The award was presented Kuala Lumpur’s Sunway Lagoon multi-park destination were Sudden Impact!’s latest blockbuster TERMINATOR X: A LASER BATTLE FOR SALVATION is a current attraction.

Lynton V Harris is the creative genius behind a number of licensed major Hollywood branded entertainment products for the attractions industry, including TERMINATOR X: A LASER BATTLE FOR SALVATION, The Mummy Live!, The Mummy Returns LIVE!, The Scorpion King LIVE!, Lara Croft – Tomb Raider LIVE!, Van Helsing LIVE!, Alien Vs. Predator Vs You {AVPX], Saw ALIVE!, Night At The Museum LIVE! and Prison Break LIVE!. It’s also developing a brand new arena touring production on ice, based on the Hollywood blockbuster Ice Age franchise, ICE AGE on ICE! As well as featuring in major theme parks worldwide, Lynton V Harris’s attractions have appeared at major events, shows and visitor attractions, including Madison SCARE Garden at Madison Square Garden in New York, and a six-year stint at Warwick Castle, with its Warwick Ghosts ALIVE! Show, for The Tussauds Group. He has also partnered with SIX FLAGS to create The Van Helsing Experience LIVE! in Six Flags Mexico City and TERMINATOR X at Six Flags La Ronde in Montreal.

APBF is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion and improvement of branding standards in Malaysia and the Asia Pacific.
