WynActive centres secure key Fitness Australia award
WynActive facilities AquaPulse and Eagle Stadium have secured Fitness Australia’s Quality Accredited Business of the Year award in recognition of their elite practices.
The key national award recognises the business that achieves the greatest accreditation score for facility safety and standards, assessed by the Improvement Foundation and endorsed by the Fitness Industry Standards Council and the Fitness Australia Board.
The achievement is considered the highest national award for businesses in the fitness industry.
WynActive Chief Executive, Alison Dixon, said that receiving the Quality Accredited Business of the Year Award at both facilities was a reflection of the dedication that WynActive staff together with Wyndham City Council have towards safety in community facilities.
Dixon advised “It’s a wonderful achievement and validates the outstanding commitment that our management and staff teams demonstrate daily, to ensure our centres are presented and operate in the best way possible. Along with Council, we take great pride in our centres.
Dixon said that gaining the recognition in a year that had been so drastically affected by COVID-19 restrictions added to the achievement.
“Despite the well documented challenges the industry has faced, we have maintained our positive outlook. There has been a power of work done to maintain facilities and develop new procedures and processes to enable seamless and smooth community access under Health Department guidelines.”
Wyndham City Deputy Mayor and Active City portfolio holder, Councillor Peter Maynard, added that Council was also proud that their community facilities have been recognised for exceptional quality and practices.
Deputy Mayor Maynard noted “this award is great recognition for the hard work and dedication of all the staff at two of our premier sporting facilities. Wyndham City takes a lot of pride in providing first-class facilities, with a continuing emphasis on safety, to ensure the best experience for all our residents.”
Mayor Maynard acknowledged that the facilities are an important part of the Wyndham community.
“These much-loved facilities provide so much enjoyment to so many sporting groups and residents and we can’t wait to reopen them in a COVIDSafe way once we have reached our vaccination targets.”
WynActive is committed to maintaining its reputation for elite safety and quality standards within all facilities as centres reopen to the Wyndham community on Wednesday 03 November.
