Les Mills releases The Trip indoor cycling workout into Malaysian market
Les Mills Asia Pacific has announced that its indoor cycling workout, The Trip®, is now available to Malaysian-based exercisers and cycling devotees.
Inspired by cinema, live concert experiences and interactive gaming, The Trip® transforms indoor cycling classes into an engaging and memorable workout experience that will see members return again and again.
Already introduced by PAR Fitness in Kuala Lumpur, Les Mills Asia Pacific Chief Executive, Ryan Hogan explains that “The Trip® … combines a 40-minute multi-peak cycling workout with a journey through digitally-created worlds.
“Backed by science, The Trip harnesses the power of the cinema-scale screen and sound system, taking motivation and energy output to new levels, and burning serious calories in the process. It’s an unrivalled sensory experience that will take the fitness levels of PAR Fitness members, into new dimensions.”
“With The Trip you can cycle into a peaceful sunset, sprint around digital velodromes or ascend steep glaciers.
“The immersive experience creates a heightened sense of anticipation and reward for members, which leads to increased motivation, energy and a desire to return and repeat! THE TRIP is the ideal workout for members who want to get fitter faster, and with less discomfort.”
With the aim of becoming Malaysia’s most loved gymnasium brand, PAR Fitness was established in November 2019. Located in Menara Hap Seng2 in Kuala Lumpur, it offers state-of-the-art equipment and a fun workout experience.
Explaining his vision for the brand, Andrew Anthony, PAR Fitness’ Chief Executive and Managing Director, advised “with an eight-year growth plan to establish 35 branches all over Malaysia, PAR Fitness aims to provide all-inclusive services designed to ensure that nobody is denied opportunities to exercise.
“Our history in the health club industry includes working with some of the world’s leading brands and franchises.
“We identified a gap in the marketplace in terms of services not being offered to everyone; we believe everyone deserves access to guided exercise.”
Considering their aim to offer all-encompassing fitness opportunities, PAR Fitness has added The Trip® to its timetable, which already boasts the globally popular BODYPUMP®, BODYCOMBAT® and BODYSTEP® Les Mills programs.
Anthony notes “The Trip offers the ultimate in flexibility and convenience for our members, because its virtual format means we can schedule classes at any time. This program adds value to our brand, so we’ll be including The Trip in our up-and-coming new branches.”
Speaking of the importance of instructors, Anthony adds “fitness is a relationships business, so while we need our instructors to be great teachers, they also must be able to spread positivity at all times. We encourage our instructors to take part in The Trip because we know it’s going to be one of the most sought after classes, especially due to the unique studio and experience it delivers.
“It’s also important to us to partner with leading fitness providers, to ensure we offer only the very best to our members. When comes to group fitness classes, nothing is bigger or better than Les Mills, especially since it’s backed by science; the success of future programming lies in convenience, and that’s what we get from Les Mills Asia Pacific.”
Hogan goes on to say “The Trip is a win-win-win because our Club Partners who offer the program can attract new and engage current and previous members who want to try a special and unique program that delivers results. The Les Mills Instructors who teach the classes have the opportunity to upskill in a unique program, which expands their following and skillset. And, of course, the members who participate will discover a program that gets the results they want in a fast and fun format.”
