INTIX introduces smartphone payments for events

Melbourne-based ticketing company INTIX has enhanced its platform to allow events to accept payments via smartphone.

Explaining that the ability to allow ticket buyers to use a smartphone to make ticket payments will help reduce costs for event organisers, improve efficiency and enhance customer experience, INTIX Chief Executive, Alex Grant advised “this is a game changer for events, previously they would have to order and pay for payment devices for door sales and now they can just use their phones.

“It’s so easy to use. We have already rolled this technology out for existing clients with great success. All events using Intix will now have access to this product.”

The technology also helps to increase security according to Intix, as mobile payment apps encrypt data and utilise other security measures to keep personal and financial information safe when making a transaction online.

Grant (pictured) added “the world of technology is constantly evolving, and payment processing is no exception. With events being catapulted into the digital world during COVID, event organisers need an effective and secure way to accept payments quickly and easily.”
