New INTIX technology to revolutionise door sales for venues and event organisers
Australian ticketing and technology company INTIX has launched a partnership with leading payment provider Square to create a fully integrated box office Point of Sale (PoS) system for event organisers.
INTIX Box Office promises to revolutionise door sales for venues and event organisers, as the first and only ticketing provider in Australia to develop an app which integrates directly with Square.
Now organisers can process door sales and take payment seamlessly, rather than having to manually process the transaction on a second device or app.
INTIX Box Office was tried and tested at the 2019 Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show in March, an event which attracted over 103,000 visitors.
Event Director Marcus Gale from IMG advised "INTIX Box Office simplified our payment procedures at the gate for the 2019 Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show. The Square integration made it easy for us to accept payment however our customers preferred to pay for the ticket.
"One of the standout features of INTIX Box Office was the seamless integration with our online ticket sales, making our reporting easier and more accurate than ever before. In partnership with Square, INTIX offers everything we need in a ticketing & payment processing system for our event.”
The INTIX Box Office solution allows organisers to take control of door sales with next-day settlements for card payments and better reporting, integrated seamlessly with existing INTIX inventory. All transactions are recorded in one place with INTIX, including cash, card and online sales.
When deciding to partner with Square, INTIX co-founder Dan Chin said: “We were hearing time and time again from event organisers that they didn't want to use a ticket system for door sales, as they needed that money right away. Now they can, with minimum reconciling and less staff for both card and cash payments, and next day settlements from Square."
Square is one of the world’s leading payments providers, with millions of customers worldwide. Its payment system is popular with Australian small businesses because of the unique payments hardware it provides with options for contactless payments, chip card payments as well as Apple Pay and Android Pay, combined with fast deposits, and powerful analytics and reporting tools.
INTIX Box Office can also integrate easily with other hardware including cash drawers and receipt printers. This allows organisers to print bar-coded tickets at the box office, to be scanned upon entry to their event.
Settlement for payments made via Square is fast. Event organisers have the ability to see money in their bank accounts as soon as the next business day.
