Industry veteran Xen Angelides joins the VERVE Fitness team

VERVE Fitness has announced that industry veteran, Xenophon Angelides has joined its team as its National Key Accounts Manager.

A stalwart of the fitness industry spanning more than 36 years, Xen brings with him a wealth of experience that includes club operations, personal training, yoga teacher (Mind Body), programming, membership, equipment sales and fitness consulting.

In his new role, Xen will continue to strengthen the relationship that VERVE Fitness has in the industry with a focus on National Key Accounts.

With world class brands that include VERVE signature racks and rigs, functional equipment to include a full range of premium barbells, Watt bikes, Vision cardio, premium strength lines, VERVE Fitness has an impressive portfolio of athletic brand products that provide facility owners with a unique and highly customisable solution.

Announcing the appointment, VERVE Fitness Chief Executive, Niall Wogan stated “Xen is a welcome addition to our team.

Angelides's journey into fitness began in 1981 when he took up body-building and martial arts.

This paved the way for him to pursue a career in fitness, completing a degree in Sports Science. Starting his career managing fitness centres, Xen has consulted to global fitness equipment corporations, whilst also developing sales, marketing, communication and retention strategies that have helped plan and launch over three hundred health clubs throughout the Asia Pacific region. With a passion for competition and achievement in sport. Angelides has an impressive track record in Australian national basketball and bodybuilding.

He is also currently a certified Yoga Teacher sharing the passion of mind body healing to his community establishing a Men’s Yoga group, teacher training and Yoga warrior Workshops.

Angelides is recognised as the founder and pioneer of personal training in Malaysia in the 1990s, renowned for training high profile politicians, members of the royal family, businessmen and women.

Xen has also honed his skills as an international speaker, educator and wellness expert, speaking at conventions such as FILEX, China-Fit and IHRSA.
