Xen Angelides joins HQH Fitness’ growing team

Respected fitness industry professional Xenophon ‘Xen’ Angelides has joined HQH Fitness’ Australian team to take up the role of Total Gym National Sales Manager.

A stalwart of the fitness industry boasting 36 years of experience in club operations, personal training, programming and membership, sales and consulting, Angelides has been welcomed to the HQH Fitness team by Chief Executive and Managing Director Greg Doherty.

Doherty explained “Xen’s commitment to the health and fitness industry has been demonstrated throughout his 36 year career.

“He is a passionate, highly experienced sales professional with much to offer Total Gym in Australia, and we are delighted he has joined our team.”

Angelides' journey into fitness began in 1981 when he took up body-building and martial arts, which then  paved the way for him to pursue a career in fitness.

With a degree in a Sport Science, majoring in Exercise physiology and rehabilitation, Angelides started his career managing fitness centres, before going on to consult to global fitness equipment corporations, while also developing sales, marketing, communication and retention strategies that have helped plan and launch over 300 fitness clubs throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Angelides' passion for competition and achievement in sport has also earned him an impressive track record in Australian national basketball and bodybuilding.

He was also recognised as the founder and pioneer of personal training in Malaysia in the 1990s, renowned for training high profile politicians, members of the royal family, businessmen and women.

He has also honed his skills as an international speaker, educator and wellness expert, speaking at conventions such as FILEX and IHRSA.

Excited about joining the HQH Fitness/Total Gym team, he explains “HQH Fitness is a strategic, passionate and innovative company that has a similar approach to mine in terms of exceeding the expectations of customers.

“They are renowned for after sales support and service too.

“I’m very excited to be part of growing the presence of the Total Gym Brand of products to Australia.

“It’s a very exciting time as Total Gym globally is introducing new products that will be sought after by discerning operators.

“The approach offers the best of functional fitness using bodyweight and incline plane training of anything I have seen on the market. The top-quality education component of Total Gym is also very appealing and exciting to me.”
