ICC Sydney continues to produce award-winning graduates of AIPC Future Shapers program

Driving business events industry progress, International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), managed by ASM Global, has produced another award-winning graduate of the International Association of Convention Centres (AIPC) Future Shapers program following a competitive pitch to solve convention centre industry challenges at the AIPC Congress held in Shenzen, China.

AIPC Future Shapers’ ‘Synergy’ team, including ICC Sydney's Senior Manager AV Production Services, Travis Henry, together with representatives from convention centres in Belfast, Cape Town and Kuala Lumpur, was recognised for presenting an innovative, venue-led training platform designed to unlock the full potential of conference centres and their people. The winning solution, ‘Synergy’ harnesses real-time data, feedback, and booking trends to proactively deliver targeted learning modules-aligning personal goals with organisational performance needs.

ICC Sydney Chief Executive, Adam Mather-Brown praised Travis Henry’s commitment to driving change by developing innovative solutions with data at the core.

Mather-Brown noted “at ICC Sydney, our people are our only asset. We consistently invest in our team by providing opportunities to upskill, spark creativity, and to support our clients, delegates and stakeholders.

“We are incredibly proud that our culture of innovation allows our team to build their careers, global networks and ultimately deliver impactful events for our clients here in Sydney.

“ICC Sydney has been successfully represented in the AIPC Future Shapers program by our exceptional venue ambassadors over the years. Travis’ outstanding achievement as part of the 2025 winning team Synergy reflects his business acumen, technical skill and collaboration.”

This accolade builds on the success of ICC Sydney’s AIPC Future Shapers alumni with a cross section of team members represented in the leadership program each year since its inception including Senior Manager, Business Development - Corporate, Government & Events, Gabriella Alberici in 2024, Senior Manager, Business Development - National Associations, Dana Fish and Financial Controller, Sathyan Chandrasekhar in 2023, and Senior Manager - Public Relations, Sandra Rae in 2022.

The AIPC Future Shapers program is a leadership development initiative aimed at accelerating the development of high-achieving individuals in the venue management industry. It's a seven-month program designed to equip senior managers with the skills and knowledge to become future leaders and innovators in the field.
