ICC Sydney spotlights economic and social impact of exhibitions market

The exhibitions market segment is an important catalyst for business, networking, and broader economic contribution. Ahead of Global Exhibitions Day (4th June 2025), International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), managed by ASM Global, has advised it will welcome more than 618,000 people to 63 exhibitions that will spark creativity, innovation and trade in the local economy in 2025.

ICC Sydney Chief Executive Adam Mather-Brown notes “Global Exhibitions Day is an opportunity to recognise the impact exhibitions have in driving economic and social benefits in the local economy.

“At ICC Sydney, we strive to make a difference, and our expanding exhibitions calendar encompasses the full spectrum of trade and consumer shows that drive key sectors of our economy. What’s especially exciting is the rise of entertainment-centric, interactive, and culturally rich exhibitions such as those inspired by technology, gaming, and pop culture which are capturing the imagination of younger audiences. These vibrant, immersive experiences highlight the growing influence of the creative industries and underscore the importance of connecting with all generations through innovative, genre-spanning formats.”

Supported by NSW Government and Study NSW, EDUtech is Australia’s largest conference and exhibition for educators and EdTech providers that is best presented at ICC Sydney.

Managing Director, Terrapinn Australia, Matthew Williams advised “EDUtech is where meaningful connections are made, and transformative partnerships are built — all with the shared goal of advancing learning and teaching standards across Australia. With our focus on digitisation, creativity, and inclusion, ICC Sydney is the ideal venue: centrally located, exceptionally accessible, and perfectly positioned to help us create experiences tailored to the evolving needs of education professionals and partners alike.”

The Good Food & Wine Show returns to ICC Sydney from 20th – 22nd June 2025 and will welcome up to 25,000 people to the interactive exhibition.

Managing Director at Spectapular Enterprises, Mike Bray added “as we celebrate 25 years of the Good Food & Wine Show, we’re building on the success of our powerful event platform to focus on providing exceptional consumer experiences with live cooking shows, powerful masterclasses and the all-important connection between producers and consumers as you sip, taste and shop your way through over 300 food and drink stands. ICC Sydney provides the ideal backdrop, offering both the world class infrastructure and vibrant atmosphere needed to bring our vision to life in an unbeatable location on Darling Harbour.”

ICC Sydney will also host the 32nd Asia-Pacific Venue Industry Congress, being held from 22nd-24th June. The Asia-Pacific Venue Industry Congress is the pinnacle event for venue professionals, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and decision-makers. For delegates, exhibitors, or sponsors, the Congress offers unparalleled networking, learning and collaboration opportunities. The Venue Management Association’s (VMA) new Chief Executive, Joel Edmondson will lead a segment to wrap up the 2025 Congress.

The co-located Integrate and Security Exhibition & Conference, returning to ICC Sydney in August, provides a meeting place for trade professionals from the security, audio visual and integrated solutions industries to seamlessly access the latest innovations from both industries in a single location.

Managing Director at Diversified Australia, David Longman shared “Integrate and Security are at the cutting edge of technology, both events bringing together local and global brands to showcase new innovations and products and connect with their industry peers. With the buyers at the heart of our brands, we chose ICC Sydney as the ideal venue partner not only for its contemporary infrastructure and ongoing investment in technology, but importantly, for the service the world class team at ICC Sydney consistently delivers to our 8,000+ industry professionals who attend each year.”

ICC Sydney hosts a comprehensive calendar of exhibitions representative of New South Wales and Australia’s broader economy, reflecting business and community interests. The venue team has added several creative, innovative and entertaining exhibitions to its portfolio, including:
