IAAPA announces Hong Kong as location for Asian Attractions Expo 2015
The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) has announced that the 2015 Asian Attractions Expo will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in June next year.
The Expo is Asia’s premier conference and trade show for the attractions industry, and organisers expect more than 5,500 professionals to participate in the 2015 which runs from 16th to 19th June.
Looking forward to the Asian Attractions Expo, IAAPA President and Chief Executive Paul Noland explains “Hong Kong is a major hub of the attractions industry in Asia and provides an ideal venue for our show in the region.
“IAAPA is looking forward to providing another can’t-miss opportunity for our exhibitors and attendees in 2015 at one of the world’s most interesting and exciting cities.”
Since 1997, the Expo has been the leading international event in the Asia-Pacific region for the multibillion-dollar attractions industry. Professionals from more than 60 countries are expected to participate in the Asian Attractions Expo 2015.
The trade show floor will showcase products and services in more than 100 categories developed by more than 250 companies from around the world. Innovations in amusement and theme park rides, architectural and design services, coin-operated games, skill games, redemption prizes, and more will all be on display.
Owners, chief executives, senior managers, and directors of amusement and theme parks, water parks, zoos, aquariums, museums, family entertainment centres, and resorts will experience the industry’s latest advances as they look to discover the next groundbreaking idea to grow their facilities.
Asian Attractions Expo 2015 will also include a high calibre education conference designed to give industry professionals the latest information regarding safety, operations, and management. Session discussions will centre on what’s new in Asia, industry trends, and best practices.
Throughout the week, participants will network with colleagues at social and educational events to strengthen longtime business relationships and establish new partnerships in the fastest growing region in the attractions industry.
As a location, Hong Kong boasts several world-renowned attractions for Asian Attractions Expo participants to enjoy, including a cruise around the island from the newly built Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, a breathtaking view of the city from Victoria Peak, or new attractions at rapidly expanding theme parks Hong Kong Disneyland and Ocean Park Hong Kong.
Hong Kong Disneyland will debut the brand-new nighttime spectacular Disney Paint the Night in 2014, celebrate the park’s 10th in anniversary 2015, and open a new themed area based on Marvel’s Iron Man franchise in late 2016.
At Ocean Park Hong Kong, guests can enjoy a new shark aquarium and koala exhibit, both set to open in 2014.
