Healthy Ageing Summit announces momentum and sponsors for inaugural 2020 Brisbane event
Ken Baldwin, founder of the Healthy Ageing Institute and the force behind the Healthy Ageing Summit, has reported remarkable interest in the inaugural event, being held in Brisbane from the 27th to 29th March 2020.
Baldwin believes the generation of interest in the Summit is down to two key factors.
First, he advises that the Summit is “the first event of this kind to be held in Australia that specifically services fitness businesses who are looking to work with the over 45s demographic, and since this is the fastest growing demographic on the planet there is an opportunity to become leaders and authorities in this very under-serviced area.”
Second, Baldwin cites collaboration, commenting “there are so many passionate people out there who just want to share what they are currently doing with the over 45s and they know that they can really make a difference and reach so many more of those people in need.
“Quite often in our industry, we tend to focus entirely on just what we do to get our message out there, instead of creating a community where we can all make a difference.
“A big part of any event is getting a well-established company in the industry with a great reputation to come onboard and help become the driving force.
“Here. I am delighted to announce the Premium sponsor for the event is Personal Training Academy.
“PT Academy has been a leader and innovator in the fitness industry providing quality courses for many years now and has set the benchmark as a training provider for personal training certifications and ongoing qualifications within the industry.”
Looking forward to his business’ support for the Summit, PT Academy founder, Dominic Dos Remedios notes “collaboration with the world’s best educators has always been the theme for us and this gives our clients empowerment and the skills to always be industry ready.
“Having the opportunity to further enhance education for the rapidly growing Ageing demographic allows PT Academy to continue to be at the forefront of education providers in Australia and globally.”
With a strong education offering for delegates, the Summit has also welcomed the following Education Sponsors:
• Power Plate and Naboso Technology - Leaders in vibration training and innovators in proprioceptive technology in flooring and in shoes.
Company Director Erica Minter says “(this is) a great opportunity to be involved in developing resources and education for the over 45’s.
“Vibration training has been an integral part of programming for many years and recognising that having a solid foundation platform which leads to better performance is so much more vital to the Ageing demographic.”
• Neurotek - a niche neuro focused company that offers a range of specialised products to promote recovery, wellness and function. The SMARTfit® range of functional and brain training solutions aims to enhance cognitive motor performance and optimise active aging.
Although fairly new in the fitness industry, Neurotek are well known for their cutting edge products and programming in the rehabilitation and hospital arenas.
Beverly Quee, Occupational Therapist and Clinical Specialist for Neurotek, comments “cognitive decline is such a big influencer with the ageing demographic and we aim to provide solutions to enhance Balance and memory to help slow the onset neural diseases like Parkinson’s, dementia and Alzheimers.
“We are looking forward to being at the Summit.”
