Campbelltown Council offers free swimming pool entry during Seniors Festival
Campbelltown City Council is offering seniors free access to pools and fitness classes during this year’s Seniors Festival from 13th to 24th February.
Fitness classes at the region’s aquatic centres – Gordon Fetterplace Aquatic Centre in Eagle Vale, Macquarie Fields Leisure Centre and Macquarie Fields Fitness and Indoor Sports Centre – include gentle exercise, aqua fitness and Pilates.
Exercise advice and certified instructors are also available to provide assistance.
Campbelltown Mayor George Brticevic encouraged local seniors to make use of the free offer, commenting “as all of us grow older it’s important to pay attention to our health by getting the right level of exercise.
“This is an opportunity to try out our health facilities for free and make them part of your plan to improve your lifestyle.
“It’s good for both the body and mind, helping to reduce illness and improve your mood.”
All facilities are wheelchair accessible.
To be eligible for the free seven-day pass, locals must be over 60, an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islands over 50 or someone over 50 with a lifelong disability. Identification is required.
