Funlab opens its multi-brand social entertainment centre in Fremantle

Entertainment and hospitality provider, Funlab has included three of their iconic brands - Holey Moley, Strike Bowling, and B. Lucky & Sons within the social entertainment centre opening at FOMO King Square in Fremantle on Friday 11th February.

The multi-brand location has been transformed into a retro ‘70s style motel filled with all things “weird and wacky” - aiming to give guests the allure of an activity filled all-inclusive resort with a bespoke swim-up themed bar to enjoy a tipple at before diving into a game at one of the individual venues.

The design was brought to life by Funlab and created with the aim to maximise the space to fit 350 patrons, the ‘motel’ is also set out in a way that allows guests to maximise their time there.

Commenting on the opening of the venue, Blaise Witnish, Chief Growth & Innovation Officer at Funlab enthused “we are thrilled to be bringing Holey Moley, Strike and B. Lucky & Sons to FOMO King Square for Fremantle locals to experience Funlab on a whole new level. The incredible motel-style venue design is a first for us, and it was inspired by an all-inclusive resort, where guests can roam and try out all of the amenities, and we hope that’s exactly what happens here in Fremantle.”

Fun-lovers can bounce between the three venues and aim to tick off a strike, a hole-in-one and a jackpot before leaving to make the most of their time out for the ultimate Funlab experience.

Fremantle’s Holey Moley includes hole obstacles such as a crashed UFO and debris from Golfzilla getting in the way of a perfect score. Not known to make things easy, Holey Moley’s newest Floor Is Lava themed hole and “will test friendships and make even the best golfers question if this is their cup of tee.”

With eight lanes, Strike has plenty of room for bowlers looking to fill their spare time – “Rock ‘n bowl fans in Freo who want a private bowling experience will feel like they’ve been transported to the Viper Room on Sunset Strip in West Hollywood when throwing the ball down their very own lane.”

B. Lucky & Sons welcomes guests to take a chance in the arcade or to sit back at the venue’s speakeasy-style bar. From classic games like Air Hockey, Skee-Ball and NBA Hoops to favourite 2000s games like Jurassic Park, and even new-age VR simulations, B. Lucky has something for everyone to play.

Visitors to the precinct will feel like they’re getting a three-in-one experience because of the sweeping views between each venue and the ease of jumping between activities and bars.

Witnish adds “the new precinct is not just bringing fun to Fremantle, it’s also providing the city with 120 new job opportunities. Funlab is committed to providing Australians with an employment experience that provides training and career growth opportunities, and is, above all, a really fun time.”

Funlab is Australasia’s largest fun company provider, with seven brands over 37 locations in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
