EVANZ announces board election results
The Entertainment Venues Association New Zealand (EVANZ) has announced the results of its 2023 board election, with three new members joining as director.
Caroline Harvie-Teare of Venues Otautahi, Glen Pickering of Toitoi Hawke's Bay Arts and Events Centre and Sarah Cowley of iTicket have joined the EVANZ board while James Parkinson of Auckland Stadiums and Mark Mekalick of the CLM-managed Trafalgar Centre in Nelson were re-elected.
Cowley will be representing EVANZ’s associate members.
Each will serve a three year term, commencing at EVANZ’s AGM on Tuesday 28th November.
They join remaining members Mark Gosling of Auckland’s Spark Arena, EVANZ’s Chairman, and Chris Mintern of Auckland’s Eden Park who each have one year left of their term.
Commenting on his re-election, Mekalick advised “(I am) very humbled to be re-elected back onto the Entertainment Venues Association of New Zealand Board for another term.
“The opportunity to give back to an industry that I am immensely passionate about is very exciting.
“There were some incredible candidates who would of all added significant value to the Board. Having the opportunity to stand alongside some of the top leaders in venue management was a privilege alone.”
The annual EVANZ Conference and Awards are being held from Tuesday 28th to Thursday 30th November 2023 at The Dunedin Centre.
