EVANZ to stage webinar launching 2022 industry Awards

In advance of opening nominations for its 2022 industry awards, the Entertainment Venues Association of New Zealand (EVANZ) is holding a special launch webinar explaining the categories and the judging criteria.

Being held at 10am on Thursday 8th September at 10am, the webinar will enable viewers to hear from the EVANZ Awards Sub-Committee on the categories and how to enter.

Long time judge Mark Lyne will explain what he looks for when he's judging entries and multiple award winner James Wilson (formerly of Q Theatre and Baypark) will give an insight into crafting a winning submission.

The Association will again be awarding trophies in seven categories at the EVANZ Awards this year.

Introducing the webinar, EVANZ General Manager, Sally-Anne Coates advised “small, medium and large Venues, people at all stages in their career and our associated support businesses should all be thinking about their achievements in the past 12 months.

“We'll tell you how to craft the perfect submission, what the judges are looking for and point you in the right direction so you can start calling in those letters of support, gathering the data to demonstrate your successes and thinking about the video you might make if you're a finalist.

“If you want to be up there on the stage at The St James Theatre receiving the coveted trophy, you should start thinking about your entry now.”

Award nominations close on Friday 14th October with winners to be announced on the evening of Wednesday 30th November at Wellington’s St James Theatre.
