EVANZ announces award of Go Media Mt Smart Stadium All Blacks Scholarship

Josephine Shepard, Event Manager at ILT Stadium Southland in Invercargill has been announced by the Entertainment Venues Association of New Zealand (EVANZ) as the recipient of this year’s Go Media Mt Smart Stadium All Blacks Scholarship.

Shepard will be spending three days in Auckland helping to deliver the All Blacks Test and the NRL’s Warriors game in a couple of weeks.

Shepard, Event Manager at ILT Stadium Southland since November 2021, said in her application that she wanted  "the chance to gain experience around the logistics of larger crowds.

“In particular food and beverage services, fire evacuation procedures and crowd management."

In announcing the scholarship, EVANZ advised “once again, we were overwhelmed by the quantity and the quality of the applicants for this scholarship.

We look forward to hearing about Josephine's experience with the team at Go Media Mt Smart Stadium when she presents her report at the End of Year Conference in Dunedin.”
