Collective Wellness Group takes on Orangetheory Fitness Australian master franchise

The Collective Wellness Group, headed by Anytime Fitness Australia co-founder Justin McDonell, has taken on the master franchise for fast growing fitness group Orangetheory Fitness.

Offering an innovative approach to group personal training, with workouts broken into intervals of cardiovascular and strength training, Orangetheory Fitness has become one of the world’s top fitness franchises.

Backed by the science of excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), Orangetheory’s heart-rate-monitored training is designed to maintain a target zone that stimulates participants’ metabolism and increases their energy.

Orangetheory Fitness uses the science of heart-rate based treadmill interval training, the efficiency of indoor rowing for increased power and the proven concept of weight training blocks, backed by highly qualified and motivational personal trainers.

From its first studio in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA (which opened in March 2010) is now operates more than 400 outlets across the USA, Canada, UK, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Colombia and Australia.

Its first Australian outlet opened in April 2015 at Sydney’s Bondi Junction, with other studios operating in Gungahlin in the ACT, Hawthorn in South Australia and Aspley in Queensland.

Founded in 2015, the Collective Wellness Group oversees operations for Anytime Fitness Australia and Massage Envy's Australian business.
