Orangetheory Fitness looks for new Australian franchisees

The ongoing success of Orangetheory Fitness in its first year of operations in Australia is seeing the master franchisor offering new territories across the country.

Orangetheory Fitness’ 60-minute heart rate monitored, high intensity, group interval training concept has helped tens of thousands of members in the USA, Canada, UK, Mexico, Dominican Republic and Australia lose weight, get toned and meet their overall fitness goals in a short amount of time.

Head trainer and former NRL professional Ben Fisher, says when it comes to getting results “it’s all about training smarter, not harder, and this is why Orangetheory Fitness is so successful among Australian exercisers.”

Claiming to be “the only heart-rate monitored, high-intensity interval training workout that’s based on science”, a typical 60-minute Orangetheory Fitnesssession involves running, rowing and TRX suspension training with the aim of getting exercisers heart rates into the ‘orange’ zone (about 80 to 90% of maximum heart rate) for a period of 12 to 20 minutes. The result is an ‘afterburn’, which is referred to as ‘the Orange Effect’ which increases metabolic rate to produce significant toning and extra energy consumption for up to 36 hours after the workout.

Helping members achieve impressive results has transformed Orangetheory Fitness into one of the world's top fitness franchises, with more than 360 studios in 38 states and seven countries.

In the past five months, Australia’s first three franchises were successfully launched in Bondi Junction, NSW; in the Adelaide suburb of Hawthorn and Aspley in Queensland.  Recently, two new territories have also been approved in Norwood in South Australia and Nedlands in Western Australia, with new territories being released for purchase shortly.

Explaining the potential of these franchises, an Orangetheory Fitness spokesperson states “Orangetheory Fitness has never closed a studio – ever! ... (and our) franchises offer low overheads and high margins.”
