Cockram Construction to undertake Junction Oval redevelopment
Cockram Construction has announced that it has been awarded the Main Works Contract with Cricket Victoria for the Victorian Cricket & Community Centre Junction Oval Redevelopment at St Kilda.
The purpose-built facility will consolidate Cricket Victoria's administration and training functions into a single location, as well as providing a boutique-sized alternate first-class venue for Cricket Victoria.
The project involves a major redevelopment to Junction Oval and will deliver an ICC compliant oval and newly formed training and administration facilities for Cricket Victoria and its Big Bash League teams. It will also deliver important upgrades to the site's key heritage assets, Blackie Ironmonger and Kevin Murray stands.
Commenting on the project on LinkedIn, Cockram Construction State Manager Victoria Michael Clemenger wrote “our early contractor involvement team has been working closely with the designers Cox Architecture and Project Manager Case Meallin & Associates for several months and we are about to now mobilise on site.”
The Victorian Cricket and Community Centre is on schedule for completion in late 2017.
