Cricket Australia advances national facility guidelines
Since May, Cricket Australia has been advancing one of its most exciting and challenging national community cricket initiatives – the development of a set of Community Cricket Facility Development Guidelines.
The Guidelines aim to provide the cricket community, government partners and industry stakeholders with a ‘one-stop-shop’ resource to inform and guide the planning, development, management and maintenance of community cricket facilities and infrastructure across Australia.
The Guidelines will also serve as a communication tool to government, infrastructure providers and land managers to clearly identify cricket’s preferences and requirements for developing quality community sporting facilities and provide a more professional approach to facility planning and development.
The project also provides a consolidated series of online materials that presents all facility planning and development information and supporting resources into a central Cricket Australia branded online resource centre for free access to the national cricket community.
Consultancy work on the project has been undertaken by sport consultancy insideEDGE.
