Chris Wilson Fitness Studio opens third location in Perth to accommodate growing demand
Chris Wilson Studio has opened their third location in the Perth riverside suburb of Applecross to accommodate growing demand for memberships and to bring the constant waitlist down.
Chris Wilson Fitness Studio is promoted as a luxury boutique training experience specialising in Personal Training, Premium Small Group Classes, Hyrox and Corporate Wellness.
The original Western Suburbs premises in Nedlands continues to thrive, now in its fourth year, and is set to expand to the larger space (4 x bigger) a few doors’ down from the original premises in August.
Chris Wilson Fitness Studio Highgate, Wilson’s larger studio, is celebrating three years in business in 2025 and offers one of few places Perth Hyrox enthusiasts can train. Classes are waitlisted every week and Wilson expects over 100 people from the HYROX community at the studio to compete this September.
Premium fitness equipment in the Applecross space comes from brands such as Concept 2 and Rogue and includes: 2 x Rogue Echo Bikes, 2 x Concept2 Ski Ergs and Rowers plus custom designed Squat Racks.
Chris Wilson Studio’s signature touches popular with clients will be in full effect at the new studio and include a mini-meditation session and cold eucalyptus towel to cool you down post-workout. There are also plans to incorporate guided use of massage guns post workout to support muscle soreness and tightness in the body.
Applecross will offer over 35 small group classes per week - capped at eight people per class, to ensure that signature Chris Wilson small group feel. The timetable will offer a brand new class type ‘Deadlifts and Dumbells’, which has been created based on customer demand for a class that specialises in upskilling compound based movements that many gym-goers struggle with technique and form but know it’s one of the most important movements for longevity.
Applecross also offers all the Chris Wilson favourites, with a large variety of cardio and strength options, designed to be mixed and matched for best effect: High Sweat, Legs & Glutes, Abs & Arms, Metcon, Strength & Conditioning and Lift & Row. Private (one on one, or two on one) training is also available. Expect to see Chris Wilson’s roster of friendly and accomplished coaches, such as Gaurav, Radek and Jake from Nedlands/Highgate also popping up at Applecross.
The opening of a third studio signals major growth for Wilson, who wasn’t always a fitness mogul, having originally arrived in Perth as a backpacker from the UK, offering PT sessions in parks with equipment from his car boot as a way to get by. These days, he lives with his growing family in Nedlands, with three children to match his three studios.
Wilson shared “we’re always listening to our followers and members’ feedback, and taking it on - we were getting a lot of requests from our social media and members to take Chris Wilson south, and while it has taken us longer than expected to get there, as we tried to find the perfect space, we’re so happy where we have landed. I can’t wait to build a new community in Applecross, and start to help the locals live their best, healthy lives.”
New members are welcome at Applecross, and they currently have a special $75.00 monthly intro offer for those wanting to trial the new space and classes and just 10 memberships for just $49 per week for unlimited classes.
At the Nedlands studio, members can choose a membership that enables them to stretch it out, with an included Bodyscape yoga class a week, and for Highgate members, local yoga studio Energy Cntr Yoga in Highgate is available as part of a membership bundle. Applecross members will get the luxury of choosing between both studios as an optional addition to their Chris Wilson membership.
As with the Nedlands and Highgate studios, a portion of every membership at the Applecross Studio goes to Chris Wilson’s chosen community partners Swanbourne Nedlands Surf Life Saving Club and Telethon. To date, over four surf life saving boards have been donated to the community and over $50,000 has been raised for Telethon.
Wilson’s latest venture in Applecross is located in Riseley Square, 3/7-9 Riseley Street, alongside many prominent and long term businesses such as Bad Apples, Sinclairs Jewellery, Artum Coffee and Med Aesthetics. Just three streets away from the river, there is easy parking outside the studio with plenty of car parking. The studio is located right on the corner of Canning Highway and Riseley Street.
