Big Banana a favourite project for Swimplex

Swimplex Aquatics has flagged how work on the Big Banana Water Park has been one of their favourite projects.

Based in Coffs Harbour and operating Australia-wide, Swimplex Aquatics deliver aquatic packages and was the company of choice to create the Big Banana Water Park.

Swimplex Aquatics Project Manager Daniel Leaver explained “the team from the Big Banana first came to us about five years ago.

“We have had more than 10 designs in that time and design number 11 was the winner.”

Detailed planning, combined with expertise that only comes with years of experience in the field, was crucial in the development stage to ensure the potential of the sloping site was realised while minimising the potential for problems.

Leaver added “the project was quite complex due to the uniqueness of the site.

“We had 38 different floating heights and hundreds of joints that had to be millimetre perfect.”

Leaver and the team at Swimplex Aquatics were also responsible for creating the adjacent aqua zone area targeted at children aged from three upwards with plenty of fun, interactive water play including the all new AquaTower A02 from Polin which is an economical and vibrant play structure that children love.

No stranger to large projects, Swimplex Aquatics delivered the commercial filtration system at Wet‘n’Wild Sydney, installed a Latitube surf simulator in Wet ‘n’ Wild Sydney, the Ryde Aquatic Centre and Port Hedland and have completed major public pool upgrades including the recent works at Coffs Harbour War Memorial Olympic Pool.

Swimplex Aquatics specialist services include; pool construction, renovation, refurbishment, filtration, heating, waterslides and the manufacture of innovative pool products.”

This coming year will see Swimplex delivering major water park projects at Prairiewood Leisure Centre in Sydney, Craigieburn Regional Aquatic Leisure Centre in Victoria and Cockburn Regional Physical Activity & Education Centre in Western Australia as well as lots of caravan and camping projects Australia wide.
