ATEC Expo returns to the Sydney Showground in 2016
Following a successful inaugural show in 2015, the Australian Triathlon, Endurance & Cycling (ATEC) Expo returns to Sydney on the 23rd and 24th July 2016.
Australia’s only consumer show that caters for the growing number of multisport, obstacle and triathlon event participants in Australia, from fun runners to professional athletes, the 2015 show attracted over 3,200 attendees and 80 exhibitors and the organisers are expecting are bigger and even better show for 2016.
Show Director Vanessa Maniatis explains “we had tremendous feedback from the 2015 show and we are already looking forward to making 2016 even better.
“86% of exhibitors commented that they would exhibit at a future show and over 80% of visitors had a good to very good experience at the show. All this has motivated us to push on and improve on a very solid start.”
The 2015 Show incorporated an open criterium cycling event (which was jointly presented by the Lidcombe-Auburn Cycle Club) that was held alongside the first day of the show. This dedicated community initiative attracted over 300 cyclists and their families as participants and spectators.
Maniatis added “we also worked alongside Sanitarium to run a Kids DASHathon event (hybrid event of running, cycling and obstacle challenge) on the Sunday which brought together a community of children aged from seven to 12 years to participate in the non-competitive event.”
