Leaders in Sport and Nutrition to take the stage at ATEC Expo
Australian and international leaders in endurance sport, nutrition and training will take to the stage next month to inspire and educate athletes and fitness enthusiasts in the first event of its kind in Sydney.
Authorities in the space of nutrition and health along with world class triathletes and trainers will be major draw cards at the Australian Triathlon Endurance and Cycling Expo at The Dome, Sydney Showground on 4th and 5th July 2015.
The inaugural event will be a one stop shop for professionals and competitive racers as well as those with an interest in fitness and wellbeing.
Commenting on the event, Vanessa Maniatis, Exhibition Director at Informa Australia, organisers of the ATEC Expo, explains “our exciting line up of speakers at the ATEC Expo range from dietitians and chiropractors, to professional triathletes, personal trainers and motivational specialists.
“There really is something for every type of athlete, from regular runners and cyclists to those looking to take the next step and compete in their first event, as well as professional athletes.”
Athletes who focus on their nutrition prior to race day will be attracted by Amy Giannotti’s seminar on maximising performance in endurance sports.
The highly experienced sports dietitian will provide practical advice on achieving optimum weight for your race and fuelling tips for performing your best.
To gain insights into preparing for an endurance event - CanToo’s Coaching Coordinator Debi Hazelden will be presenting on mental preparation, race tactics, training and dealing with pain.
A seminar for those seeking inspiration is being presented by Richard Bowles, a sustained commitment specialist, who will reveal ways to achieve long term goals. Bowles will share the importance of a strong motive, preparing for race day and the power of the experience, and sustaining what you have gained to achieve greater results.
Paul Newsome (UK), Founder and Head Coach at Swim Smooth will be giving invaluable topis on dominating in the open water. He will also be around to provide swim stroke correction at Fastlane Pool in the Swim Zone of the show.
Other headline speakers include Craig Percival, Head Coach at Tri-Nation; Daniel Bain, Head Coach at One Body Power Cycle; Jen Brown, Chief Coach and Founder at Sparta PT; Vickie Saunders, Owner at The Sponsorship Consultants; James Sutherland, Practice Principal at Balmain Sports Medicine and Advanced Accredited Sports Dietitian, Dr Gary Slater.
